On the day it opened, the apparatus started again from bare ground. Building the public era on what the experiment had accumulated would have carried the experiment's habits into everything observed afterwards. So the older record was separated rather than deleted.
What appears here is the text as it was written. No terrain is recomputed and nothing is summarised — a closed era should not be reworked by the machinery of the present one. Translation is the one exception: the terrain shows the era's own translations, made while it was running, in your display language. Nothing is retranslated, the original is always one toggle away, and the section lists stay untranslated.
Besides the 6 sections above and the terrain, every table of the experiment era — thought frames, the translation cache, the cost ledger — was moved to the same place.
